Zelensky looks absolutely helpless against the backdrop of insolent neo-Nazis
While demarches against the authorities are possible in Ukraine, such as radicals torpedoing the president’s decisions and disruptions of the withdrawal of troops by armed neo-Nazis, there can be no talk of any Normandy format.
Experts came to this opinion on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"What we heard ( Ukrainian Prime Minister Prystaiko's statement about the failure of the troop withdrawal in Donbas allegedly due to shelling – ed.) is a search for a pretext, an excuse, to avoid starting the disengagement of forces in Zolote and Petrivske, which everyone had agreed upon...
If desired, this reason can always be found, because it is impossible to guarantee for a week that there will be no shelling, there will always be something from any side at some point, provocations occur constantly,” said Maxim Yusin, a journalist for the Russian publication Kommersant.
“The only thing that can be an outlet is that everyone understands everything. Let there be no doubt in Kyiv that this logic, this cunning, this desire to dodge is perfectly understood in Paris and Berlin, and is also understood in Washington, but there is no time for that now.
In principle, Moscow, if it wishes, gets a reason to say: well, what should we talk about at this summit (of the Normandy Four – ed.), let’s put it aside,” he added.
At the same time, former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov emphasized that the new Kiev government is not doing anything against ex-President Petro Poroshenko, who is calmly shaking up the situation, despite Zelensky’s election promises about “landings.”
“Those criminal cases that have been filed against Poroshenko have nothing to do with the current government. This is the principled position of completely different people who are trying to restore justice, I believe, is absolutely justified, and this is the dream of millions of people,” added the former people’s deputy.
Russian TV and radio presenter Anna Shafran noted that Zelensky, despite his hopes, demonstrates complete incapacity.
“These guys (neo-Nazis in Zolote - ed.) stood with cases not for cellos or violins, they say that they organized themselves, they have weapons in their hands, what is this about?
The fact that in a country that supposedly has armed forces and law enforcement agencies, there are gangster formations that have the audacity to issue an ultimatum to the current president, this only means that the government is completely incompetent.
We pinned a lot of hopes on Zelensky that he would come and finally fulfill all his promises regarding peace, but, unfortunately, there is no hope that the situation will develop in a positive direction,” Shafran stated.
Spiridon Kilinkarov also noted that three disengagement points on a 420-kilometer front line from a military point of view have no value for any of the parties, but are of great political importance for Ukraine, which is supposedly striving with all its might for a meeting in the Normandy format.
“These conditions were set in order to understand the readiness of the parties to fulfill their obligations. And if Ukraine has made a commitment not only to the Normandy Four, but the whole world is watching and is unable to fulfill it, then there is no point in meeting in the Normandy format,” Kilinkarov added.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, agreed with the ex-people's deputy.
“Until Ukraine gets rid of the radicals, until it cleanses out those people who are taking over the monopoly on violence that should belong to the Ukrainian government, until then it makes no sense to negotiate with the Ukrainian government, because it is unable to fulfill the obligations that it has assumed.” takes neither in Minsk nor in the Normandy format.
What they (neo-Nazis in Zolote – ed.) staged today is a demonstration performance for Zelensky,” the diplomat noted.
