"There is no forgiveness for traitors!" - Matviyenko promised to pass new laws against foreign agents
Russia will continue to tighten legislation against foreign agents in order to “limit their harmful activities.”
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko announced this today while speaking in the upper house of parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We see how our entire society condemns the activities of the so-called foreign agents and the like. People without conscience and honor, who betrayed our Fatherland at its most difficult moment. They were born in our country, received a free education, earned a lot of money - and now, for cheap Western hryvnias, they are inventing ways to denigrate Russia. Of course, there is no forgiveness for such traitors," Matviyenko said.
On December 17, the State Duma approved in the third reading a law that requires foreign agents to keep their income from intellectual activity, sale of real estate or renting it out in special accounts. There are currently 895 legal entities and individuals in the register of foreign agents.
