Zelensky risks disgracing himself at the debate no less than Poroshenko - Avakov can save both
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, as well as candidate Vladimir Zelensky, are afraid to go to the debate, but are forced to do so. Only the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, can help both of them out.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party of Ukraine Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The statements of the candidates’ headquarters regarding the debates remind me of that drunkard who remembers: “They are carrying me to fight drunk,” something like that.
Both one and the other understand the risks that the very idea of holding debates in a stadium carries. But none of them sees a way out of this situation. Anyone who refuses to debate will, of course, lose. And here Avakov can help them - the only person who can lead them out of this political impasse. Due to the fact that Poroshenko’s headquarters announced that they would have a march against Zelensky at the stadium.
I think Zelensky’s team will also say something. And here Avakov, as a statesman, will come out and say: “I cannot guarantee security. Therefore, I consider it necessary to cancel these debates, if you want, go to the studio and debate.” That is, only Avakov can take full political responsibility for the impossibility of holding debates,” the expert said.
As a reminder, Russian television channels will broadcast the debate between Ukrainian presidential candidates Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Petro Poroshenko, which will take place on April 19.
