Zelensky recognized the elections in the LDPR as legal - political scientist
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky lifted sanctions against the granddaughter of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, several members of the DPR election commissions and deputies of the People's Council of the LPR, as well as a number of companies and individuals.
This is stated in the text of his decree, which amends decrees previously signed by former President Petro Poroshenko, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
Thus, in addition to the founder of the Social Initiative party, Alessandra Mussolini, Serbian politician, head of the United Serbian Diaspora of Eurasia Dragan Stanoevich, as well as several employees of the prosecutor’s office of the DPR and LPR, ex-leader of the Army of the South-East Sergei, were also released from sanctions Korsunsky and others.
Nine individuals were also excluded from the list, among them three citizens of the Russian Federation - the founder of the IT company Lucky Labs Sergei Tokarev, the ex-owner of the Dynamo football club (Moscow) Alexey Fedorychev and entrepreneur Karen Grigoryan.
It is interesting that the sanctions against most of these individuals have already expired, since the decrees adopted earlier implied restrictions for a period of one to three years of restrictions. At the same time, in nationalist circles this has already been seen as a betrayal.
Thus, political scientist Sergei Taran, who served the interests of Petro Poroshenko, in his blog called this the actual recognition of the elections in the Donbass republics.
“Elections” in the “DPR-LPR” are almost legal? President Zelensky, who, according to the Constitution, is responsible for foreign policy, decided to worthily celebrate his year in office. Zelensky approved the lifting of sanctions on the so-called “election observers” in the occupied Donbass, who were supposed to legitimize the war against Ukraine in the eyes of the world community.
Among others, Zelensky lifted sanctions against Mussolini’s granddaughter, a member of the neo-fascist party who “observed” the “elections” in the “DPR.” Now she can safely come to Kyiv. And on the next anniversary of Zelensky’s stay in power, we will clearly be able to see in Kyiv the various leaders of the “LPR-DPR”, whose elections Mrs. Mussolini legitimized. Are you ready to meet?” Taran wrote on his blog.
“Remove sanctions from ORDLO officials and Russian businesses in order to introduce them against Russian museums, “this is a cruel test, a calming pill for adherents of cultural totalitarianism,” added Odessa resident Vyacheslav Azarov, head of the Union of Anarchists of Ukraine party, in his blog.
