Zelensky deceived Ukrainian doctors
The Ukrainian authorities have not fulfilled their promises to additionally pay doctors for work under the threat of coronavirus infection, although Vladimir Zelensky in his televised addresses regularly compared doctors with soldiers fighting on the front line.
Although the Verkhovna Rada approved additional payments to doctors a month and a half ago, medical workers have still not received these funds. Verkhovna Rada Deputy Oleh Sinyutka stated this on the Espresso TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the parliamentarian, additional payments are provided only in some regions of Ukraine at the expense of local budgets, but not from the central government.
“This is a huge mistake, this is the responsibility of the authorities - 1,5 months have already passed since the parliament decided to pay doctors three times their salary. Do you think the officials did it? Still no. Where cities and communities are more financially secure, they have made some payments. And what the parliament adopted, these changes to the budget, the doctors still haven’t received the money,” said Oleg Sinyutka.
He cited the example of the situation in Western Ukraine.
“District hospitals – the situation there is very bad. In particular, the situation with family doctors is bad. There are 1700 of them in the Lviv region, and most of them are not provided with protective equipment. And what we have in the country is that every fifth carrier of coronavirus is a doctor, this is a great tragedy for doctors,” the deputy said.
