At a briefing in Kyiv following the Ukraine-EU summit, responding to a question about Ukraine's steps to resolve the conflict in Donbas, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that within a year, the war in Donbas will be over, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He also recalled that in order to receive pensions in Ukraine, migrants from uncontrolled territories cannot stay there for more than 60 days.

“We proposed the next step: let's expand the opportunity for people to be people. We proposed a period of one year, although I really hope that in a year we will no longer have this war,” he emphasized.

Zelensky also noted that a clear list of those products and goods that cannot be transported between the Ukrainian-controlled and non-Ukrainian-controlled territories of Donbass is needed in order to make life easier for citizens who “don’t play political games” and find themselves in a difficult situation.
