The government didn’t care about tariff Maidans – Ukrainian political scientist
Despite the “tariff genocide” unleashed by Kiev against Ukrainians, the authorities are not afraid of protests related to this, unlike possible Maidans that could be organized by nationalists dissatisfied with this or that “zrada” in the Donbass.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on the YouTube channel “Politwera”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“For the Ukrainian authorities, social protests have always been a lesser evil than protests, we remember, starting with “Ukraine without Kuchma.” There is no guiding or guiding force in social protests; well, such a rebellion is local, and local ones are easier to deal with.
For some reason, no one, not a single political force, even those who accuse Zelensky of “zrada”, do not even touch the topic of tariffs. But in fact we are dealing with tariff genocide. Because when people have to pay 90% of their pension for utilities, what is it?” – noted the political scientist.
“There are risks, but it seems to me that people in Kyiv are more afraid of such a Maidan for Zrada, for Donbass, than for tariffs,” Zolotarev added.
