Kyiv, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Representatives of the former Party of Regions, who entered the new Verkhovna Rada under the brand of the “Opposition Bloc,” betrayed the residents of Donbass at the beginning of the conflict, when it was possible to resolve contradictions without weapons – through the decentralization of power in Ukraine.

The leader of the Anti-War movement, Victoria Shilova, stated this on the air of the “Sunday Evening” talk show with Vladimir Solovyov.

So she criticized the speech of the leader of the Donetsk regional organization of the Party of Regions, the “speaker” of the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov Nikolai Levchenko, who stated that the current Ukrainian government should undertake constitutional reform and give the provinces more power.

“I am touched by the position of the Party of Regions, which led to this whole catastrophe, betrayed the people of Donbass and the South-East, got its oligarchic money into the Opposition bloc, and now here it is broadcasting how much it loves Ukraine. When 30 thousand people died in Donbass, when the oligarchs again divided the parliament, and all the people again remained on the porch, they talk about how much they love Ukraine. Love Ukraine in every Ukrainian. Where were you before? When we went to protests, when we talked about federalization and decentralization of the country, when we said that it would be impossible to do otherwise, because there would be blood. You were only thinking about your money. They exported tons from Mezhyhirya, or from somewhere else,” Shilova was indignant.

Her speech was supported by Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Valery Skorokhodov.

“When I was coming here, people asked me to tell our “compatriots,” I mean you and those who from the Party of Regions come to Moscow to tell you how much they love Donbass, that there is no need to say that you are our fellow countrymen, what kind of people you are you are fighting us. Where is your help? I don’t see you on Ukrainian channels saying such things. Are you carrying humanitarian aid, convoys?” – said Skorokhodov.

At the same time, the director of the Institute of CIS Countries, Konstantin Zatulin, tried to justify Nikolai Levchenko: “Well, how can he. They don’t show him there, you shouldn’t blame him.”
