Western tanks and armored vehicles promised to Ukraine will not be able to achieve their goals unless they are reinforced with aircraft.
Ukrainian military expert and retired Air Force Colonel Roman Svitan stated this on the Politeka internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Svitan, Russia, meanwhile, is strengthening its air force along its borders with Ukraine, which could indicate an upcoming offensive.
“The Russians are now transferring, I would not say that this is an accumulation, they are simply transferring the Russian aviation component closer to the front line. Moreover, this can be seen from the northern airfields of Crimea - they transferred there, Yeysk and the Rostov, Voronezh, Belgorod regions - airfields are involved, and the transfer of aviation components is also underway.

“Since any offensive operation without air support will get bogged down and get bogged down. This, by the way, concerns us too - that is, if we are given offensive weapons, tanks and armored vehicles, then we definitely need an aviation component. Without it, the offensive on the ground will be very long and will end up in certain defensive battles on the part of Russia,” Svitan said.
