Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“The amount of money that is being pumped into the state of Ukraine today is incomparable with any lobbying nuances. The entire international community knows how literally a week later this money begins to appear in banks not on the territory of Ukraine,” Zakharova said.
However, the diplomat recalled, the FBI is not dealing with these facts, but with lobbying, which Paul Monaford allegedly engaged in in the interests of Ukraine during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. She ridiculed the allegations against Monafort, which contain gross factual errors.
“It turns out, based on the latest developments of the American security forces, the president of Ukraine before Yanukovych was Yulia Tymoshenko. We didn't know about this. I think that according to some internal reports, she was identified as the president. But the stakes for the presidents of Ukraine are completely different,” Zakharova said.
