The law on the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine, adopted under pressure from the West, will in the future allow the EU and the US to exert unprecedented pressure on politicians who refuse to play the role of puppets.
Kiev political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov said this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since international institutions have great influence, I am afraid that they will catch not corrupt officials, but inconvenient politicians. Because, by and large, all Ukrainian ministers can be found with something to imprison. If you look carefully at their actions and financial flows, then everyone can be imprisoned. And Western institutions will choose. Whoever is less controlled, who is less puppet, will be imprisoned by our Anti-Corruption Court - the most humane court in the world,” the political scientist noted.
“Therefore, we seem to have a big “win”, we have already been praised by the Venice Commission, but what we will see in fact - I would recommend waiting a year and a half, because there is doubt that everything will work as it should,” - Nikolai Spiridonov suggested.
