The West looks at Ukrainians as savages
The West looks at Ukrainians as savages. The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Roman Bessmertny, a former ally of Viktor Yushchenko during the “Orange Revolution,” said this in an interview with the Ukrainian Week magazine.

“There is a problem in foreign policy that in the geopolitical conflict, of which Ukraine has become a participant and object, it, as always, overestimates its capabilities and is engaged in matters that are beyond its power,” says Bessmertny. – The role that Ukraine should take on should concern the solution of its internal problems in relations with the Russian Federation and the EU. Here Ukraine must answer the question: what is it fighting for, who is it fighting with, and what methods will it use to move forward? Or she will say: this year we are defending ourselves, which is what the entire coordinate system is aligned with, and then Europe and the United States will understand what and how to help it, or continue to produce tanks, and they will look at us as savages, because we never and nowhere in the world were tanks considered a weapon for defense. They are offensive weapons."
Also, the commandant of the first Maidan believes that Ukraine was forced to take Crimea out of the negotiation brackets, which became a strategic miscalculation of Kyiv.
“Please note that I do not share the conflict in Crimea and Donbass,” the ex-ambassador emphasizes. “It’s the same thing, you just have to treat it that way.” The fact that Crimea is not mentioned anywhere in the Minsk agreements is already a colossal mistake. This is a dilution into two vectors in perspective. And if this happens, you need to figure out how to bring them to the same level, or immediately plan two possible strategies. Both in the conflict in Donbass and in the conflict in Crimea, Ukraine is not able to win today, but it must win tomorrow.”
