Ukrainian industry is falling at a rapid pace because the National Bank is pursuing a policy aimed at reducing the monetization of the economy.
The leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna" faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this on the air of the NASH television channel, as reported by a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“I want to show how the industry has been declining since the arrival of the new government. Since the arrival of the new team, our industrial production index has dropped by 20,4%. We got the following results. What is 20,4%? This fifth part of production collapsed in a matter of months. In nine months.
Simply saying that the industry has fallen is an understatement. The team in power would have to figure out what caused the drop in production. And I want to explain to you. If we as a people do not understand why industry is falling, why our economy is falling, we will not fight it,” the former prime minister warned.
The reason for the fall is the low monetization of the economy, and Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that this was achieved deliberately, through strict monetary policy.
If in Israel the level of economic monetization is 85,4%, in Poland – 69,0%, in Turkey – 53,6%, then in Ukraine – only 33,7%.
“Our economy was deliberately, planned and professionally left without money. This is a conscious, planned policy of destroying our country. It is led by the NBU, which has been under external control since the time of Poroshenko.
There is no Ukrainian strategy, there is no Ukrainian system of interests, there is simply a conscious policy of destroying the country,” Tymoshenko stated.
