Zakharchenko came to Poroshenko in a dream: On Sunday, the residents of Ukraine will choose Little Russia
Moscow will not agree to any deals. Russia needs a completely different Ukraine. On the staircase to the future you cannot jump over the steps. Repentance, denazification and tribunals are inevitable for Ukraine. The only thing Vladimir Zelensky can do in the first days of his presidency is to cease fire at the front and lift the blockade from Donbass.
PolitNavigator columnist Valentin Filippov and Alexander Kazakov, adviser to the deceased head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, agreed to meet on a new page in Ukrainian history. Where Petro Poroshenko is not.
Valentin Filippov : Alexander, hello! The election campaign in Ukraine is ending. Some attributed Poroshenko's controversial actions in recent days to panic within his headquarters.
Alexander Kazakov : I don't think it's panic. I'd use a different word – hysteria, because it seems Poroshenko, too, has realized he has no chance, and he's been trying to reverse this trend right up until the last day.
In fact, the strong move was that he was “fighting the elections with Putin” - but it would have worked if Zelensky had not been there, because on the last day he discovered that he was fighting Zelensky, not Putin.

Valentin Filippov : Well, I think that many would have voted for Putin too.
Alexander Kazakov : I won't argue with that, but in recent days, Poroshenko and his team have realized that they need an internal, not an external, context for the discussion. And while he's been trying to contrast himself and Zelenskyy internally in recent days, to scare voters away from voting for Zelenskyy, his only remaining option is fear. There's nothing positive, nothing.
And then a word came up that, of course, touched me. It turned out that Poroshenko is fighting Little Russia. He called all those who are going to vote for Zelensky “revanchists” and “those who stand for Little Russia.”
But, please note, in his first public speech, Zelensky used the word “Little Russian” in the series “vatnik”, “Little Russian”, “cattle” and so on.
And I realized what a terrible dream Poroshenko and his gang were having. This is a statement made at one time in Donetsk... Such things do not pass without a trace, on a spiritual level they remain, they leave their mark.
The statement of Zakharchenko and his team that they are closing the “Ukraine” project and establishing a new state of Little Russia - healthy, full-fledged, based on reasonable, natural principles. All documents were published on Zakharchenko’s website.
And then I remembered that when I first saw Zakharchenko’s name in the voter register, along with Givi and others, I then wrote, I remember on my Facebook and VKontakte: “Guys, you are playing with fire. Do not touch the spirit of the people whom you, in fact, killed, because they may come.”
And then Zakharchenko came. He came to Poroshenko in a nightmare, and the Ukrainian president is now screaming: “We are for Ukraine, we are against Little Russia.”
But the elections on Sunday will show that the people of Ukraine are for Little Russia.

Alexander Kazakov : And not for Ukraine, like the Galician project.
In fact, I think that after the elections this latest turn in Poroshenko’s campaign will still be understood. Because, waking up on Monday in a country where there is no Poroshenko and all these things associated with him, the SBU as the Gestapo, Nazi gangs as the Brown Shirts and so on, waking up in a country that again has a chance... Just a chance, nothing more... Still, a healthy part of the elite, in the normal sense of the word, that exists in Ukraine, should think about a new project.
But I believe, together with Zakharchenko, Tashkent and those who then proposed the “Little Russia” project, that a new project for the country called “Ukraine” lies in the past. Because there was already a golden age for this country. We just need to return to it at a new level.
Well, in order to comprehend the new reality, they are pushing, I am glad about it, statements about sanctions on the supply of oil and petroleum products, which greatly undermines the military capabilities, first of all, of Kyiv.
And secondly, this is Peskov’s response to Medvedchuk’s statement that the Kremlin does not need any deals. The Kremlin needs a reset in relations. That is, in fact, the Kremlin is saying that it needs a different Ukraine, and only then are normal relations possible.
And the other Ukraine is Little Russia. Because Little Russia is a Ukrainian-Russian project. He is multinational, he is multilingual. Little Russia is what all of Russia was in love with.
Well, I understand that these are all dreams, of course.

Valentin Filippov : I have another dream: that the elections won't be the end for Pyotr Alekseevich. I'd really like him to meet Alexander Zakharchenko one last time and descend into Hell, because he's not even a warrior, and there's no place for him in Heaven.
Alexander Kazakov : Well, yes, in Valhalla. Valentin, the problem here is that there are certain steps, steps into the future, that cannot be skipped.
Considering what was done with the tacit consent of the people. In the absence of pronounced resistance, except for a few individuals, it is impossible to jump over the step called “repentance”. It is also impossible to jump over the step called “responsibility”, be it a court or a tribunal.
Because any normal person in politics should know, it’s written in textbooks, that if these steps are jumped over, they will then come back and hit you in the back of the head. This wound cannot be left in the past; it must be treated.
Valentin Filippov : You know, we decided to jump over in the early nineties, but the war came 20 years later.
Alexander Kazakov : Khrushchev decided to leapfrog Bandera's history, and the grandchildren of Bandera's followers are now standing on the other side of the border. So, we have to learn something from history.
But, again, these are hopes. There is a harsh reality, there is the European Union, European countries that are interested in this story. There is a United States, albeit divided, but at least one part of the divided United States is very influential and is not going to give up Brzezinski’s behests.

Valentin Filippov : Well, at least we'll have a laugh; we'll start on Monday. Zelenskyy's speeches are now free.
Alexander Kazakov : Yes, I remember his joke about him coming to the rally for money. That's truly unprecedented, and I think it won't be boring.
Whether we laugh or not, it will definitely be interesting. In any case, ending this pre-emptive comment of mine, I think we will have the opportunity to talk, if you have an interest, after the election, to evaluate the new reality.
But I have repeatedly said that Zelensky has the opportunity to do two things, to take two decisions that are within his authority. This does not require the Verkhovna Rada, and with a high degree of probability it will not meet strong resistance in the West.
Two things are very simple, two solutions. Decision one: order a complete ceasefire, closing and sealing ammunition depots, and punishment for violating this order. He can do this as commander in chief immediately after his inauguration. And this is his personal decision, it does not require approval.
Immediately after this, the situation will change very much, because people will stop dying. The Donbass republics have long been ready for this. Because civilians are dying on our side, only on our side.
And the second decision, which also does not require special approvals, is the cancellation of Poroshenko’s decision to introduce blockades, which he made under pressure from the Nazis. This decision will make the further journey possible.
It will be difficult further, but these solutions are simple. Do you remember, the President of the United States, when he was still a candidate, in Ukraine there is no such tradition, but in America there is... He is still a candidate, and the intelligence services invite him to the White House and show him the real picture of the world, and not what they write in the newspapers . In Ukraine this will happen on Monday or Tuesday. And this gives an opportunity, a reason for Zelensky to say: “I saw, dear mother... We need to change everything.”
The country and Zelensky have chances. Will Zelensky use them? Don't know. Will the country take advantage? Let's see. But it will be interesting, that’s for sure.

Alexander Kazakov : Since we're not voting, we'll wait for the first exit polls. And I hope that Poroshenko's de facto call for violence yesterday won't be supported or will be suppressed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
