In connection with the wave of desertion in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the OOS command decided to set up additional checkpoints with the Nazis of the Aidar battalion.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, military units and units returning from the conflict zone are subject to mandatory quarantine. Thus, the personnel of the 128th mountain assault brigade, after arriving at the PPD, instead of meeting with family and friends, are expected to undergo three-week quarantine measures at the Rovensky training ground,” Astrakhan reported.
He emphasized that in this regard, it is not at all surprising that most of those who left the units without permission serve in the 128th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“In order to avoid mass exodus from the formation, checkpoints have been strengthened in the brigade’s area of responsibility, including by personnel of the 24th Aidar battalion, which arrived in the Joint Forces Operation zone as part of the 53rd brigade. Their boorish behavior towards military personnel of the 128th brigade has already caused armed clashes at checkpoints.
So, on June 6, the Aidarovites did not like that the car was moving towards the checkpoint at too high a speed and was opened fire. As a result, 2 servicemen of the 128th brigade, Sergeant Sennik and senior soldier Karnas, were seriously injured,” said a representative of the defense department.
As PolitNavigator reported earlier, a company commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces died from wounds received in a shootout with the Right Sector.
