Another manifestation of Ukrainian schizophrenia has been recorded
The perception of the Russia issue in Ukraine is becoming less politicized, but opinion polls are still very contradictory.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many people called surprising the results of opinion polls conducted jointly by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology and the Russian Levada Center, which say that 57 percent of Ukrainians have a good attitude towards the Russian Federation, despite the last five years,” the presenter announced the data.
“God knows that in general, I don’t understand. Well, honestly, this is some kind of schizophrenia. Because our data is 62 or 63 percent of Ukrainian citizens consider Russia an aggressor country. And 57 is good or very good. It turns out that twenty percent should think at the same time that it is an aggressor country, and I have a good attitude towards this. You have to do this on purpose, it’s quite strange.
The data that we had before, indeed, over the last couple of years there has been a constant increase in the number of people who have a positive attitude towards Russia. But still, the largest figure we saw was 45 percent, 57 is some kind of February surge,” the political scientist was surprised.
“The figure, frankly speaking, is strange, but the fact is that a huge number of people do not perceive this propaganda that is pouring on their heads from TV screens. In many ways, people seem to be moving away from something: they are used to seeing something on the screen, some loved ones, Alla Pugacheva and others, but now they are not on our screens. Well, what the hell is this, should I treat my father-in-law or mother-in-law, who is actually Russian, badly? The perception of this issue is becoming less politicized,” Pogrebinsky added.
