Yushchenko decided not to play democrat anymore: A Nazi like Parubiy
The Russian population of the present South-East of Ukraine is not indigenous, but imported instead of destroyed or exiled opponents of the Russian Empire.
Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko spoke about this on the Pryamoy channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We don’t say that we are a big country. They (Russia - author's note) are a big country, and we are a great one.
If we had pursued a conscious national policy for many years, we would not have had the difficult question: “Political East or political West?”
We are a reasonable, talented nation, but excuse me when you have not had a state for three hundred years, when millions of people were brought to half of Ukraine to replace those who were knocked out, destroyed, taken to the Khabarovsk Territory, to the Green Wedge.
People came here who simply do not know this land, do not know this word, do not respect this Church. Did you feel that the Russian world goes where the Russian language is? Where is our war going on? Where there is the Russian Church, the Russian language, where either Catherine the Second or Stalin stand. A different mentality is implemented there, not a national one,” Yushchenko said.
Let us recall that similar theses were previously voiced by Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy. He said that when renaming cities in the South-East of Ukraine, the opinion of the local population should not be taken into account.
“In the east of Ukraine, the Kremlin killed millions of Ukrainians. Our grandfathers were destroyed in the millions in those territories where settlers, Moscow occupiers from other parts of another country, were settled. And today you appeal to the local population, to the opinion of the people who live there?” - said Parubiy.
