Yavlinsky calls for “serious resistance” of Belarus in the war with Russia
The Kremlin has not abandoned its plans to forcibly absorb Belarus.
Grigory Yavlinsky, the mastodon of Russian liberalism, stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It seems to me that the Kremlin’s long-standing idea to absorb Belarus has not gone away and is now intensifying and will be implemented in one form or another. From my point of view, there is nothing good about this. Belarus has the right to live the way the people who live there want. And this may be completely different from how we live now in Russia,” says Yavlinsky.
He compared a possible referendum on reunification with Russia to Hitler's Anschluss of Austria.
“This has nothing to do with justice, truth, or normal life. This only has to do with imperialism. These are absorption methods. It's like you have a brother, and you take away his passport and don't allow him to live the way he wants. I can tell you that the resistance will be very serious. That is why he is not entering there yet,” the liberal concluded.
