Yanukovych refuses to support Russia, but Moscow still won’t hand him over to Interpol
Moscow - Kyiv, January 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Moscow is unlikely to extradite Viktor Yanukovych, who the day before was put on the wanted list by Interpol on charges of theft of state property in Ukraine.

Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov told the publication that Russia will not comply with the Ukrainian request, since its political motivation is obvious. However, the expert emphasized that Yanukovych and his entourage still refuse to support the Russian Federation’s position on the Ukrainian crisis. According to Chesnakov, any country that has provided asylum to “this kind of political refugees” has the right to expect that they will support its position
With regard to Yanukovych, Russia will do the same as Ukraine - with regard to the Russian request for the extradition of the leader of the Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, a search warrant for whom is also posted on the Interpol website, the publication’s source in law enforcement agencies ironically says.
A Vedomosti source close to the Kremlin believes that now Yanukovych and his associates are unlikely to think about traveling outside Russia.
