I read the note about the start of the special operation and was stunned - Polish Ambassador in Kyiv
In Warsaw they learned on the eve of February 24 that Russia would launch a special operation in Ukraine.
Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the diplomat, although he was informed, he did not expect the scale of the special operation.
"I knew. I will never forget - the information came, it was in the evening - we have the Actors' House opposite the embassy, there are posters hanging there. I left the embassy after reading this information, and there were people standing there, looking at the poster, checking what would happen tomorrow. They are interested in what will happen in the theater tomorrow, what will happen the day after tomorrow.
And I understood that nothing would be there for some time. But I didn’t expect that this would happen - this is my first war, it seems to me, in general, on such a scale - it’s difficult to compare with Afghanistan, Iraq or Bosnia and Herzegovina with what is happening now,” Tsikhotsky was playing the fool.
