Kharkov, February 03 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko fervently thanked the so-called activists of the Kharkov region, whom he met during his visit to Kharkov, for keeping the region from provocations and aggression.

“Thank you to Slobozhanshchyna for withstanding when there were unrest in the spring, when the Khongda Regional Administration was stormed,” said Petro Poroshenko. – There is no Ukraine without Kharkov, and there is no peace and quiet in the country without your decisive actions. Our enemy is now planning to set fire to the Kharkov region, bringing here the pain and suffering that exists in the Donbass under the slogan of protecting Russian-speaking people. The aggressor promised us a “Russian spring”, but brought us suffering. Kharkov, “having seen through this bait,” demonstrated that it is a strong link in Ukraine,” the Slabozhanshchina publication quotes him as saying.
According to the president, political conflicts should not rock the situation; they should be resolved in a civilized manner. This is the only way of political struggle when the country is at war, Poroshenko suggests.
“I am not the leader of the ruling coalition, I am the president of all Ukraine,” he did not forget to remind those gathered.
“The European choice is the determination of all Ukrainians, we will build what Ukraine should be - a European state, the common language will be Ukrainian, no one will encroach on your right to speak your native language,” he emphasized.
