The world is on the brink of nuclear catastrophe, but the West will fail to force Russia to back down. Retired Marine, intelligence officer, and American military analyst Scott Ritter stated this in an interview with American television host and blogger Andrew Napolitano, reports PolitNavigator.
"The missile they used was nuclear. It was a nuclear missile that carried a conventional warhead, but it could also be used as a nuclear one . And Putin effectively said that the missile could now cover all of Europe, and that in the future he would mirror every action by Ukraine and the West. Any escalation would be met with an immediate response.
"So anyone who thought Russia was bluffing, that you could force Russia to back down, should now know that Russia isn't bluffing. This is a serious escalation, a new type of weapon. This is a qualitative leap, and it could lead us to a nuclear conflict ," Ritter said.
