Vučić topped the rating of politicians of the Serbian opposition publication
According to the rating of politicians published by the New Serbian Political Thought magazine, headed by opposition leader Djordje Vukadinovic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic scored 3,9 points on a five-point scale, taking first place, significantly ahead of opposition leaders.

Serbian President and Chairman of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party Aleksandar Vucic said that while epidemiologists believe that mass events increase the risk of spreading the coronavirus, he will conduct a remote campaign without gathering supporters. However, the lack of personal meetings with voters and traditional trips around the country did not prevent the Serbian President from leading the ranking of the most influential politicians in the country.
According to the rating data, based on popularity on a five-point scale, the top 5 leaders, in addition to Vucic, who scored 3.29 points, include Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic with 3,01 points, Prime Minister Anna Brnabic, who received exactly 3 points. The leader of the SPAS movement, Aleksandar Sapić, received 2,72 points, and the Speaker of Parliament, Maja Gojkovic, received 2,45 points. Opposition leaders Dragan Djilas and Bosko Obradovic are in 16th and 18th places, respectively.
The situation around the parties is as follows: the coalition around the ruling Serbian Progressive Party is already gaining about 62,4% of voter support, while the opposition has only 7,1%. The alliance of Aleksandar Vučić and Ivica Dačić (Socialist Party of Serbia) has the greatest sympathy among voters.
Political analyst Dejan Vuk Stankovic, in an exclusive commentary for PolitNavigator, emphasizes that the success of the SPP and Vucic lies in creating a positive image of the country, its economic, political and social development.
“This intention is clearly evident from the identification of the ruling party and its leader with a number of completed and active projects of national importance: the opening of new jobs, factories and government encouragement of entrepreneurial activity, the opening of new directions in road and rail transport, infrastructure, and support for agriculture.
Another important point in the campaign is the emphasis on the political and media charisma of the Serbian President. Vučić is certainly the most popular Serbian politician and the only one who has more positive than negative ratings among Serbian citizens,” the expert believes.
“Vučić’s popularity is detrimental for the opposition, because it does not have a leader capable of competing with him in the near future,” Stanković is convinced. – Another reason is disunity and lack of rational and decisive leadership among the opposition. Confused, fragmented and often quarreling among themselves, it has offered neither an adequate alternative political program nor a politically and media-credible leader who would consistently and concretely fight against Vučić.”
