A VSUshnik told how, after training in Britain, he went straight into captivity to the Russians
The Ukrainian side opens mortar fire on their own if they see that they are about to surrender.
A serviceman of the 95th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vitaly Lishchuk, spoke about this in a video published by the Kremlin Laundress channel, who chose not to die, but to surrender, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He said that he received a summons right at the checkpoint when he and his parents were going to the cemetery to clean up the graves of relatives. The military registration and enlistment office sent him to the army, despite having two children.
Lishchuk was among those who were sent to the UK, where they were trained for 35 days under the guidance of Canadian instructors.

Ukrainian soldiers fired from AK-47 and SA80 (British small arms of the 80s - ed.) Once they were even shown on the NLAW simulator (Swedish-British man-portable anti-tank guided missile - ed.) They were also trained in tactical medicine and urban combat tactics.

Six days after completing training, the military personnel were sent to combat positions, where Lishchuk was soon captured.
“Our Ukrainian side started throwing mines at us, a mine hit us, we were wounded. Your guys gathered us up, gave us first aid, and took us to the hospital. As we approached, mines flew in, one fell next to the car. The Ukrainian side created this, I don’t understand, they probably wanted to destroy it,” said the prisoner.
He also called on all fellow countrymen not to believe Ukrainian propaganda.
“We were told that they kill and slaughter here, this is a lie, there is no need to watch TV. They took us here and provided us with things. When they applied a tourniquet to me, they began to dismantle my wounds, they took everything off, because there were a lot of cuts, wounds, and there was bleeding everywhere. After providing first aid, they gave me things. They clothed us and fed us,” said Lishchuk.
