The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to dislodge Russian troops from the bridgehead near Ochakov
Ukrainian sources yesterday rushed to report the retreat of the Russian army from the Kinburn Spit, the last part of the Nikolaev region controlled by Russian troops. Despite the fact that the spit is a narrow strip of land, which is being shelled by Ukrainian artillery from neighboring Ochakov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to repulse the landing. But Kyiv is preparing a new attack, concentrating boats and special forces. To thwart these plans, a few hours ago Russia launched a series of preemptive strikes on Ochakov, columnist Boris Rozhin reported.
The spit is important because it is located near Ochakov (where the very same training center for naval saboteurs, supervised by the Anglo-Saxons, is located), and also allows control of the sea route to Nikolaev – one of the most important ports on the Black Sea, which Kiev would like to connect to the export of grain, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

“This is a very important place, it gives us the opportunity to participate in control over Ochakov and Kherson, over those bases from which operations are carried out against us. Of course, she must be held. The question is whether we can keep it - our General Staff must say this. But we cannot retreat indefinitely, then we will really jeopardize all the gains that have been achieved over these eight months. We should no longer act according to the principle of Kherson and the Kharkov region,” says SVR Lieutenant General Leonid Reshetnikov.
Retired captain XNUMXst rank Vasily Dandykin claims that the order to seize the spit has already been given in Kyiv.
“Because from the Kinburn Spit to Nikolaev is only 30 kilometers, this is a bridgehead that must be maintained. Ours have repelled not the first attack attempt, by the way. This is the thorn that is with us and creates trouble for them. From the point of view of how to use this scythe, not only they, but also we think. Attempts to seize it will undoubtedly continue,” Dandykin predicts.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian propagandists published several videos with assault groups setting off to capture the spit. Most likely, the footage shows participants in the attacks repelled the day before.
