The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled Donetsk to hide the results of the shootout of their drunken soldiers
They decided to present the next non-combat losses resulting from a drunken shootout in one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as combat ones, and as proof of the “brutal battle”, the brigade’s mortars fired at the suburbs of Donetsk.
This information was announced today during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, another emergency occurred at the positions of the 24th mechanized brigade near the village of Maryinka.
“A domestic dispute between two drunken militants quickly escalated into an incident involving weapons. During a short firefight, one militant of the 24th brigade was wounded, the second, whose last name was Kutsik, born in 1968, died on the spot from a gunshot wound,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He emphasized that the 24th brigade became the leader in non-combat losses: their number is more than 60 percent of the total number of dead and wounded in the brigade. For this, the commander of the 24th brigade, Gudz, received a reprimand from the commander of the occupation forces, Naev, at a recent debriefing.
“Fearing another disciplinary sanction, after which Gudz might lose his position, he decided to report to higher headquarters about the losses allegedly suffered during the “brutal” battle. To confirm his false report, Gudz organized an intense mortar shelling of the outskirts of Donetsk. On his orders, early in the morning the mortarmen fired 33 120-mm mines in the area of the village of the Trudovskaya mine. Information about the destruction is being clarified,” added the representative of the defense department.
