“As a result of shelling by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in Tokmak, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. According to incoming information, as a result of the shelling of Tokmak in the period from 13:30 to 13:40, hits were recorded in the area of a five-story residential building on Shevchenko Street, one rocket hit the roof of a five-story residential building on Gogol Street.
The gas pipeline in Tikhy Lane and electric wires were also damaged, as a result of which the northern pumping station was cut off from power supply.
The information is preliminary, verification is being carried out. Communication in the city and surrounding areas is intermittent. Information about the victims and injured is being clarified,” Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Military-Civil Administration of the Zaporozhye Region, wrote in the first minutes.
“One person was killed and at least eleven were injured - all of them are civilians of Tokmak, who were injured as a result of a missile strike by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants on the city
Information about the destruction and the number of victims is being clarified,” he later added.
An expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism, Boris Rozhin, clarified that “3 packages” of Khaimars missiles were fired at the city, which is dozens of missiles.
“The enemy shelled Tokmak today. 3 HIMARS packets arrived, several missiles were shot down.
According to official data, 11 civilians were injured, including three children. One child's arm was blown off.
In the northern part of the city in the industrial zone, a number of objects were damaged,” Rozhin wrote.
According to observer Alexander Zimovsky, the shelling pursued both a barbaric and practical goal.
“From an operational-tactical point of view, the Khokhlovodians are doing everything correctly. Now the population will tramp from Tokmak in different directions, clog all the roads with refugees and paralyze the logistics of transporting ammunition, equipment and replenishment in the direction of the settlement site.
