The Ukrainian Armed Forces have still not been knocked out from the left bank of the Dnieper, where the day before the enemy managed to capture a small bridgehead near the village of Krynki (this is in addition to the Dacha area near the supports of the Antonovsky Bridge).
“The enemy is still trying to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the village of Krynki. Tonight the soldiers of our 26th regiment tried to knock out the enemy with the help of 4 tanks. We made several advances, but, unfortunately, the enemy was firmly entrenched, plus we had to immediately retreat with tanks, since the artillery immediately began to work on us. There is still no connection, they have firmly put it down... This is where the problem arises in timely reporting of the enemy’s targets. There are also reports about the build-up of enemy forces in the Oleshek area. We’re holding out for now,” reported the Two Majors channel, which is considered close to the border guards.
A contract soldier fighting in the Kherson direction with the call sign “Ossetian” clarifies that “the work of smoking out continues.” He denies the threat of seizing the village of Alyosha.
“There are no Armed Forces in the Aleshki area, they are at Dachy, but in order to get from Dach to Aleshki, you need to cross a small bridge (there is no other way, only if through swamps, but there is no point in that), and it is not under our control 100, but 1000%. One way or another, the expansion of presence on the left bank looks like a success for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, admits Moscow political scientist Sergei Markov.
“After several months of attempts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were finally able to make a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper. To make this bridgehead permanent, the Ukrainian Armed Forces still need to establish a permanent pontoon crossing. And transfer heavy military equipment. And then the Armed Forces of Ukraine can continue to advance in the operational space. But the Russian army must break up the crossing. And the Russian army must destroy the bridgehead. But this is hampered by the dominance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery. The creation of a bridgehead is a success for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a threat and challenge for the Russian army,” says Markov.
Observer Alexander Zimovsky is perplexed why all landing attempts near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant were previously stopped, but the situation in the Kherson direction is different.
