Everyone will go to trial for Donbass! – Ukrainian politician addressed ATO soldiers
The admissions made in Kyiv yesterday of the illegality of the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) confirm what opponents of the Euromaidan have been saying for five years, warning Ukrainian soldiers that they face criminal liability for participating in a punitive military operation against the civilian population of Donbas.
This is stated in the video message of ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko, who has repeatedly called on his fellow countrymen from the Kherson region to boycott participation in the ATO.
“Facts are already emerging. Poroshenko and Turchynov are war criminals. They will also turn you in,” the politician warned the rank and file of the military, many of whom, despite all the warnings, signed up to join the punitive forces, hoping to receive allowances in conditions of unemployment.
“Everyone who visited Donbass, who killed civilians, they will have to bear responsibility. All those awards from the bloody hands of Poroshenko, Turchynov, Groysman, Yatsenyuk, the bloody parliament - illegitimate, illegal, since you violated the Constitution - directed weapons against your own people. You will have to answer. A tribunal has already taken place in Donbass. You will go to the people’s court,” Zhuravko said.
