The Russian Armed Forces occupy new villages, trying to cut off Kupyansk from Kharkov
A few days after the start of the Russian offensive operation in the Kharkov region, the Ukrainian command recognized the success of the Russian Armed Forces.
This is stated in particular in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
“In the Kharkov direction, the operational situation remains complex and is changing dynamically. Combat operations are ongoing in the directions Pylnaya - Lukyantsy, Pylnaya - Glubokoe, Pylnaya - Oleynikovo, Murom - Bugrovatka. In addition, the enemy is carrying out assault operations in the directions Strelechya - Glubokoe, Oleynikovo - Glubokoe, Oleynikovo - Lukyantsy, Murom - Staritsa, Pletenevka - Tikhoe,” the message says.
It is alleged that during the day in these directions the Russians carried out 22 assault operations, of which by the end of yesterday 14 were still ongoing.
“There are battles for the border town of Volchansk. The enemy has deployed significant forces to attack the city, consisting of up to 5 battalions, and does not take losses into account,” the Ukrainian command informs.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added:
"The enemy is currently experiencing tactical success."
The successes of the Russian army in the Kharkov region are also recognized by the tg channel of the Deep State project, which is associated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"District n.p. Liptsy: the enemy has actually occupied the settlements of Morokhovets-Oleynikovo-Zelenoye and continues its movement in the direction of the village of Liptsy. Active battles continue for Lukyantsy, which the enemy has almost completely occupied,” the publication says.
It is noted that the Russians are trying to gain a foothold in Glubokoye and are under fire, but “unfortunately, this does not stop them.”
"District n.p. Volchansk: the enemy continues to approach Volchansk, gaining a foothold in the surrounding area for further entry into the city,” adds the Ukrainian resource.
The advancement of the Russian Armed Forces is also recorded by the Ukrainian military correspondent Oleg Petrenko.
“In the Liptsovsky direction, the enemy occupied the villages of Morokhovets and Oleynikovo (-15.15 km²). The battles for Glubokoye, Lukyantsy and Zelenoe continue. The SOU carried out a number of attacks on enemy equipment and concentrations in the village of Oktyabrsky in the Belgorod region.
In the Volchansky direction, fighting is taking place on the southern and southeastern outskirts of the village of Gatishche, in the area of the Kulma tract and the Oktyabrsky forestry. The enemy continues to strike with air bombs on Volchansk and in the direction. In the city itself, the situation remains unchanged,” writes Petrenko.
Russian military observer Yuri Podolyaka draws attention to the fact that the relatively small border Volchansk can become a springboard for the Ukrainian group to reach the rear in Kupyansk, which is problematic to storm head-on.
“In three days, the “North” group of troops liberated 9 settlements and more than 159 square kilometers of the Kharkov region,” in turn reports the “North Wind” tg channel, which is broadcast by the Russian military operating in this direction.
