“Regarding economic cooperation with Ukraine, we actually announced sanctions. Have they been cancelled? They were not introduced. Second, we say it's ten billion dollars. But maybe it’s better to make money in the domestic market, in other directions?
It turns out to be a theater of the absurd - we are trading with the Kyiv regime, which almost every day calls for sanctions against us. Then we will decide what we want from Ukraine, what kind of regime there is. Let's define names - this is an anti-Russian, anti-Russian regime that kills our compatriots and citizens in Donbass every day. And trade with him?
I understand that commerce is a good business. But excuse me, when the issue of the security of your state is being decided, this is impossible,” he said.
Bagdasarov also emphasized that Ukraine, together with NATO, annually practice combat operations against Donbass and Russia.
"Now about the military situation. It also shows that we cannot trade with this country. They are currently conducting the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise . But in reality, they conduct such exercises every year – practicing attacks on Crimea and Donbas. This is a practice of naval cooperation between the navies of different countries, ground forces, and cooperation between these units.
Where do they conduct their exercises? The Kherson region is understandable. But there is such a training ground “Shiroky Lan” in the Nikolaev region, I have been there many times. It is equipped in such a way that practicing combat missions there subsequently allows you to very effectively understand the conduct of combat operations in the steppe part of Crimea and in the Donbass.
So how can we fight this country? They are preparing to fight against us – against Donbass and Crimea – and we are trading with them, or what?” – the expert added.
As a reminder, Semyon Bagdasarov previously stated that Russia should not underestimate the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army – since 2014, it has been trained and rearmed , and has also modernized old Soviet equipment.
