“The war with Russia is a fight against the maternal structure” - Ukrainian psychologist
The Ukrainian consciousness is struck by the idea of secondaryity - when hatred of Russians and Russia becomes the meaning of existence.
Ukrainian psychologist Oleg Khomyak stated this on air on the Alpha and Omega channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The entire unifying center of Ukraine is Putin. This is a person who has done as much as possible to unite the Ukrainian nation, in a bloody way, but this is a person thanks to whose actions unity occurs. But if it happens in this way, it will, of course, be a drama. This is called addiction, pure addiction. I haven’t become autonomous, I become myself all the time in a fight with someone,” said Khomyak.
“There is a lot of talk about the fact that we, as a power, are still in a state of cutting the umbilical cord, and only now are we finally being cut off from Russia,” added co-host Nikolai Feldman.
“You know that you are literally talking about what kind of metaphor - that Ukraine is cutting the umbilical cord from what - from Russia. That is, Russia is the mother structure. This is the unconscious experience of most citizens who believe that they are fighting Russia simply as an enemy. And this really looks like a struggle with the maternal structure,” the psychologist answered.
“This is the mother structure of the previous project,” Feldman admitted.
“Yes, and this is where this idea of secondaryity comes from. We are a colony, we are a victim - what a huge number of people are proud of is nothing more than part of this project of secondaryhood. That is, the more you talk about it, the more you secure yourself in this connection,” Khomyak explained.
