Voenkor: Fighting began in the city limits of Lisichansk
The nationalists of the Ukrainian armed formations, who are surrounded in the LPR, act according to NATO manuals on how to behave when captured.
Military correspondent Yevgeny Lisitsyn spoke about this on Channel One from the scene of the events, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Currently, Gorsky is being cleaned up. There are a lot of Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel left there who dress in civilian clothes and behave like local residents. These are specially trained fighters who either hide in basements or simply walk around a peaceful populated area.
Everyone needs to be checked, because it is very dangerous, they can hide now and then cause big trouble. Therefore, absolutely every person who stayed there needs to be checked,” Lisitsyn said.
He also spoke about his impressions of communicating with Ukrainian nationalists who surrendered.
“They all tell the same story: we shoot in the air, we didn’t fight, we didn’t do anything. But after a long conversation, they begin to tell that they underwent long-term training in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, some even underwent training in America. A lot of NATO weapons were confiscated, warehouses included grenade launchers, high-explosive fragmentation shells.
After lengthy conversations with prisoners of war, they themselves openly say: yes, we were taught what to say, but in view of the fact that we were surrounded, if we don’t tell the truth now, we will sit, so we decided to surrender and that’s why everything to you “We’re telling you,” said the military correspondent.
At the same time, military correspondent Semyon Pegov, citing his sources on the front line, reports that fighters of the LPR NM and the RF Armed Forces entered Lisichansk.
According to him, fighting is already taking place within the city limits on the outskirts.
