In Lvov they realized: We will lose to the Russian Federation without an alliance with Britain, Poland and the Baltics
Kyiv is forced to switch to “strategic defense”, since only in an alliance with Britain, Poland and the Baltic states will Ukraine be able to fight Russia on equal terms.
Ukrainian political expert Alexander Antonyuk, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Unfortunately, the Russian Federation as of today is a resource-rich country, this must be recognized. There is a regime, its savagery is another story. However, in terms of resources and mobilization resources, the population size is many times greater than our country. In general, if we even take an alliance, if we were talking about a security alliance, Poland, Britain and the Baltic countries, we would then be equal, plus or minus, in manpower.
That is, the ability to attract people into the armed forces. This is so that we understand the potential of the Russian Federation and, accordingly, our country and a series of European countries,” Antonyuk reasoned.
He also recalled nuclear weapons and the high level of Russian intelligence services.
“This is a country that not only possesses nuclear weapons, but a nuclear triad, this is also a potential that plays the role of a deterrent, as well as a blackmail factor.
Third aspect. We must pay tribute to the fact that the Russian special services and their school are quite effective, and they also have a decisive influence on political processes in a series of democratic countries in Europe and the United States. And these factors also cannot be underestimated.
Therefore, we are still on the defensive against one of the most powerful countries. Yes, criminal regimes, but they cannot be underestimated. And as of today, the Russian Federation, unfortunately, still has enough resources for a long time,” the Ukrainian expert complained.
