In Lvov they said hello to Peskov and banned the UOC in the region
The Lviv Regional Council did not appreciate the break between the UOC and Moscow and decided on the need to ban the activities of the church in the region, and also prepared an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to implement this initiative throughout Ukraine.
All deputies present in the hall voted in favor, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

One of the initiators, European Solidarity deputy Svyatoslav Sheremeta, called for support. In addition, the appeal contains a recommendation to local authorities to facilitate the transfer of communities and property of the UOC to the OCU
“We all remember the statements of Kremlin spokesman Peskov that it turns out that the Ukrainian state is at war with the Russian Orthodox Church. This is another evidence that we do not have any UOC, but we have a branch of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Therefore, dear colleagues, I have a big request to support this decision, where, within the competence of the Lviv Regional Council, we propose measures to correct this situation. In this draft decision, we propose to contact the Verkhovna Rada to prohibit at the legislative level the activities of this branch of the Russian Orthodox Church at the legislative level throughout Ukraine.
We recommend that local governments help parishioners of this church of the Moscow Patriarchate move to Ukrainian churches.
To assist the administration as much as possible in registering charters, and we also appeal to law enforcement agencies, territorial defense forces, so that the property that still exists on the territory of the Lviv region, and we know that there are still churches of the Moscow Patriarchate, is left to the community and left to the Lviv region, so that they do not were stolen. Because there have already been such precedents.
This decision has undergone legal review. Perhaps it looks soft, but this is after the lawyers carried out the appropriate examination,” Sheremeta said.
As a result, 54 out of 61 deputies voted in favor.
Priest Andrei Novikov, the former secretary of the Odessa diocese, who was forced to leave Ukraine due to the threat of reprisals, noted that what is happening once again demonstrates what Russia is fighting against.
“Here we could talk for a long time about the shameful behavior of the Lvov Metropolitan of the UOC Philaret, who tried to jump out of his pants after February 24, proving his Russophobia and determination to split the Russian Church.
But now I just want to draw attention to the absolute madness of the satanic machine of the Ukrainian state and the West, which completely approves of it. They asked what else Russia is fighting against, if it is Katehon, besides world Sodom - but at least with this. No matter what the “witnesses of Theophania” do, they are fighting not against Theophania, but against even a hint of the authenticity of the Church and its sacraments, which means they are fighting against the very possibility of salvation.
So, first in one region, and then throughout the pseudo-state, attending a service and receiving communion from a canonical priest who maintains contact with his Patriarch will be a state crime and is fraught with death or chains and torture. However, non-canonical, but “moderately” non-canonical too.
The path to the “church” will only be through a three-fold renunciation of Orthodoxy and a combination with Bandera and the “Ukrainian spirit.” Forerunners of the Antichrist. Lord, strengthen the faithful children of your Church, the new martyrs of Western Rus'!” – the priest wrote in his tg channel.
Previously, a retired SBU general noted that after Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov's statement about persecution in Ukraine, no one will believe the UOC when it again begins to prove that it has no connection to the Russian Church.
Lviv sent greetings to Peskov and banned the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the region.
