In Lviv, in the city center, the so-called “Watered Monday” was held - a traditional Galician Easter holiday, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the local publication ZAXID.NET.
“The dousing in front of the entrance to the city council lasted from 12.00 to 15.00. This event has been organized for the fifth year in a row. In order for everything to happen in a cultural and fun manner, law enforcement officials and the “Municipal Squad” kept order, the message says.
“I come every year and get a lot of emotions. It doesn't bother me that I'm wet. That’s what Watering Monday is for, to get wet,” said Lviv resident Ivan Kushta.
It is noted that the mayor of Lvov, Andrei Sadovy, did not come to the current celebration in the center, however, according to the press service of the Lvov City Council, four of his sons took part in watering on Rynok Square.
