“The Ukrainian military is grossly interfering in the work of private enterprises in the Lugansk region. In the village of Petrovka, Stanichno-Lugansk district, UkrVeresk LLC (which employs 200 people and supplies 70% of the region’s bread needs) was taken under incomprehensible protection by soldiers of military unit VO624 with some military commandant Sinelnikov,” the message says. .
“There are three armed soldiers here every day. The head of UkrVeresk, under their pressure, was forced to leave the enterprise, leaving another person as acting director. The military also prevents this person from baking bread; she is now in the hospital. Documents were confiscated from the enterprise, and the house of the chief accountant of the enterprise was searched. The military took away the funds for the sale of bread, threatening with arrest,” states Moskal.
He sent an appeal to the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff with a demand to explain to the military that interference in business activities is strictly prohibited. And also order an official investigation into this fact and bring those responsible to justice.
Ukrainian authorities have officially acknowledged the army's involvement in property seizures.
