The Transnistrian authorities declared their reluctance to shed blood for recognition
Transnistria “has already shed its blood” in the 1990s during the conflict with Chisinau, and therefore now seeks to avoid participation in hostilities even for the sake of its main goal - recognition of independence from Moldova.
The President of the PMR, Vadim Krasnoselsky, announced this to local journalists, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Even at the initial stage of my presidency, I said that I definitely expect recognition of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, its statehood, but I really would not want this recognition to be obtained through bloodshed. Transnistria has already shed its blood. We have paid this bloody debt. I don't know what to call him. This is the tragedy we had. Enough is enough. We will get recognition, I have no doubt about it. But it will be harmonious and not associated with the death of people. In any case, we need to pray for this. To all of us,” said the head of the republic.

According to Krasnoselsky, even in the absence of recognition of the PMR, today the PMR is an economically more developed state than Moldova.
“In Transnistria, even in conditions of unrecognition, we managed to largely preserve the Soviet industrial potential. And not only to save, but through investments and re-equipment, by and large, to restart. Without investment, all the potential would probably also go to waste. We saved and increased.
But in Moldova, unfortunately, almost the entire industrial potential of the Soviet Union was either destroyed or looks extremely bad.
Naturally, the number of industrial enterprises dictates the consumption of energy resources. That's why we consume more gas than Moldova. This is normal – according to the level of industrial production, that’s all.
And I can cite other European countries or, for example, the United States of America. There, for example, California consumes more gas than Nevada or Texas. Because there is a completely different level of industry, which is represented in certain states, in certain states. So it is here.
In addition, almost all of our residents’ houses are gasified. This is also gas consumption.
We lived keeping up with the times, we did not squander the heritage of our ancestors, the heritage of the Soviet Union, we invested and have good results,” concluded the PMR President.
Transnistrian authorities have declared their unwillingness to shed blood for recognition.
