The Crimean authorities took a tough look at Ukraine and the Baltic states
Russophobia has taken its ugliest forms in Ukraine and the Baltic countries.
Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Georgy Muradov said this during a speech at the VI World Congress of Russian compatriots living abroad, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The West and its satellites in post-Soviet countries are pursuing an aggressive policy aimed at destroying the humanitarian space of the Russian World, at ousting the Russian language, Russian culture, at reformatting the consciousness of the Russian-speaking population in neighboring countries.
This aggression has taken its most savage and ugly forms in Ukraine and the Baltics, as our President Vladimir Putin also spoke about today . A large-scale Russophobic campaign under the slogan "Russia is to blame for everything" continues in the United States and European countries," Muradov stated.
“The growing aggressiveness against the Russian World indicates that Western ideologists see the particular effectiveness of this concept as the basis for restoring the unity of the civilizational space that has developed around Russia,” he noted.
“The Russian world has its own historical territory - Eastern Europe and Northern Asia, its communication basis is the Russian language. In a philosophical sense, he considers himself to be a post-Byzantine and, at its core, Eastern Christian civilization,” added the Crimean representative.
Crimean authorities have cracked down on Ukraine and the Baltics.
