The authorities of the Kherson region boasted of a record number of tourists this summer
This year, 3,5 million vacationers visited the resorts of the Kherson region.

The regional governor Andrei Gordeev announced this today.
This result, according to the governor, was achieved, among other things, thanks to the launch of additional trains to all regions of Ukraine, including the high-speed Intercity, which runs both to Kherson and in the direction of Genichesk. For comparison, Andrey Gordeev noted that in last year’s season the number of vacationers in the resort areas of the Kherson region amounted to 2,8 million people.
“If you count, the holiday season was indeed quite powerful for the Kherson region. We had 100% of all establishments at capacity: health and recreational. There were even cases when people’s deputies and ministers called me and asked me to “resolve issues” and find a place,” the regional state administration website quotes the governor.
In turn, Tatyana Volynets, Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity, Tourism and Resorts of the Kherson Regional State Administration, added that this number of tourists increased thanks to the excursion movement, which took place in national natural parks and reserves of the region. And also at the expense of people who attended festivals on the coast of the Kherson region.
