Vinnitsa priest, who is forced to move to the “Poroshenko Church,” went all-in
The rector of the Alexander Nevsky Church, Father Victor Parandyuk, which is located on the territory of the school of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vinnitsa, removed the dome from the church after the management of the educational institution announced the termination of the lease agreement with the church community, forcing it to move to the “Poroshenko Church,” the correspondent reports “PolitNavigator”.
This was announced by the press secretary of the Vinnitsa diocese of the anonist UOC, Archpriest Vladimir Puchkov.
“The community, which was registered at this temple, had certain property in it - all the church utensils, as well as the dome. It was installed using community funds. Therefore, when the school management confronted the community with the fact that it had to leave the premises, they, of course, took their property with them, including the dome. The dome was removed and placed on the ground. The community simply took their property, as they were faced with the fact that they had to leave the premises,” the archpriest noted.
According to him, the termination of the lease agreement with the church community took place due to the fact that it belongs to the UOC, which is now under certain pressure.
At the same time, he added that this temple was located in the police school and operated there under an agreement since 2005. Now the community is looking for a new building for the temple.
At the same time, the press service of Poroshenko’s “OCU” confirmed the fact of the removal of the dome. “He (rector of the temple Viktor Parandyuk - ed.) believes that the dome should be removed when he personally was shown the door for his political views, because of this he is dismantling the church,” noted the head of the press service of the Vinnitsa diocese of the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” “Vladislav Demchenko.
However, the police were not interested in such actions. “This is not our competence, we do not interfere in church affairs. There were no reports on this matter,” noted the public relations sector of the GU NP in the Vinnytsia region.
Also, according to the website of the UOC, in the Vinnytsia region pressure is being put on the rector of the church in the village of Sokyryntsi, Archpriest Vitaly Dakhnovskonr, with an offer to join the newly created “Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” but the priest refused.
