Prominent French politician is proud of the title of Russian agent
It is time for the European Union to stop putting pressure on Russia and reconsider its relationship with NATO.
This opinion is expressed by the leader of the “Unbowed France” party, member of the French National Assembly Jean-Luc Melenchon, who, referring to Le Figaro, is quoted by Izvestia.
The French politician, who received almost 2017 percent of the vote in the French presidential elections in 20, called for voting for candidates who will change the policies of the European Union in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament.
“It is in your interests to have members of parliament who will not participate in the anti-Russian and pro-NATO hysteria raging in the European Parliament,” Melenchon said.
He also said that the Europeans are not interested in increasing tensions with the Russian Federation, and also criticized the idea of Georgia and Ukraine joining NATO.
“It is a great honor for me when I am compared to a Russian agent, because I want peace,” concluded the leader of Unconquered France.
