Vesti FM: PolitNavigator is blocked in Belarus for telling the truth
Censorship of the Russian media, which has recently worsened in Belarus, is also typical for other post-Soviet countries, where friends of Moscow seem to be in power.
Political scientist Alexey Martynov said this on the air of the “Former” program on Vesti FM radio, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert recalled that a ban on broadcasting Russian media, for example, is in force in Moldova, despite the expulsion of oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc from the republic and the presence of socialist Igor Dodon in power - the parliament has not made the promised decision to abolish censorship.
“Everyone conveniently forgot about this, more than a year has passed since Plahotniuc has been gone, but the law is as it was. Now, we are talking here now, of course, we have a sufficient number of fans and listeners in this beautiful country, who are trying to bypass all sorts of plugs via the Internet, they listen to us via VPN, but we are not on the air. The same applies to the broadcasting of Russian television channels, the same applies to many news agencies in Russia.
"PolitNavigator," for example. They're a small group, but very vocal, vibrant, and very truthful—and they're blocked there, too. Incidentally, they've been blocked in Belarus , just like a number of our central TV channels, where they're technically broadcasting, but their programming is simply replaced," Martynov said.
