The version of Okueva’s murder that Kyiv is keeping quiet

A series of attempts on the lives of ATO militants Adam Osmaev and Aminu Okueva could have been the revenge of their former comrades from Chechnya, as well as sponsors who were dissatisfied with the spending of previously allocated funds.

“When creating the “Chechen battalion named after. Dzhokhar Dudayev” it was headed by the Chechen field commander Isa Munayev, who led the “Free Caucasus” movement. The battalion received material and organizational support from Chechen emigrants in Europe and Turkey.

In February 2015, Munaev died near Debaltseve, and (according to rumors) under rather strange circumstances. His place was taken by Okueva's husband Adam Osmaev. At the same time, some of the fighters refused to recognize him as their commander.

The fact is that Osmaev was not in authority among the Chechens, since, unlike Munaev, he did not participate in the Chechen campaigns. Osmaev really lived in Moscow with his family during the war, and his uncle was generally pro-Russian, his brother studied at the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in addition, there were rumors in the battalion that Osmaev at one time did not lead a very clean lifestyle. And Osmaev generally got hooked on Islamist topics in England, where he studied in the 2000s. Those. typical golden youth, to obey which the old wolves were tired.

In short, it almost came to the point of skirmishes, as a result of which some of the fighters left the battalion’s location in the Dnepropetrovsk region and moved to the Kherson region, and some even to Turkey.

So, the “old soldiers” who were dissatisfied with Osmayev brought charges against him to his senior comrades and sponsors abroad, and not only for the lawlessness, but also for the waste of funds allocated for the battalion (in particular, the purchase of an apartment in Kiev was presented for either 200 or for 300 thousand dollars, and then a plot of land near Kiev, where the Osmaevs allegedly built a house; I am now checking this information).

According to one of the “subversions”, the story of the past attempt on Osmaev and Okueva also lies within the framework of this story. They say that the senior comrades sent a person who was supposed to figure everything out on the spot - this was supposedly the notorious Denisultanov-Kurmakaev, and the famous shootout arose precisely during one of the conversations, allegedly when Osmaev was supposed to present Kurmakaev with a report on the expenditure of the battalion’s funds .

Either the foreign sponsors were outraged by the attack on the “auditor,” or they perceived it as a final admission of guilt, or they came to this conclusion in a different way, but Osmaev and Okueva were found guilty of lawlessness and decided to leave.
