Washington will try to smooth over the scandal provoked by the US President
The recall of the Russian Ambassador from Washington was an unprecedented event for Russian-American relations.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, as reported by the Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper.

“The indefinite demonstrative absence of the head of the diplomatic mission is an unprecedented event for Russian-American relations. Nothing like this happened even during the Cold War,” the publication notes.
In turn, the head of the Center for Applied Research at the Institute of the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Pavel Sharikov, believes that Washington did not expect such a reaction to Biden’s words.
“The Americans, of course, cannot apologize. But I believe that they will try to somehow smooth out the situation,” the expert believes.
At the same time, he predicts that Washington will act very carefully, especially since the American authorities are characterized by “a masterly ability not to pronounce specific formulations, but at the same time to give their position through the media field.”
Let us recall that after the US President called Russian leader Vladimir Putin a "killer," Moscow recalled its ambassador from Washington.
