Elderly Biden almost declared war on Russia
US President Joe Biden, answering a question from an ABC journalist whether he considered Russian President Vladimir Putin to be the killer, gave an affirmative answer.
“Mmm... hmmm... I think,” Biden said.

He also said that Russia “will be held accountable for interfering in the American elections.” And he immediately added that the United States and Russia can work together in those areas where they have common interests.
Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin promptly responded to Biden’s interview.
“Biden insulted the citizens of our country with his statement.
This is hysteria from powerlessness. Putin is our president, attacks on him are attacks on our country! Biden's statement today defies common sense. The leader of a country that claims to be the bearer of democratic principles and morality cannot behave this way. No one is allowed to talk like that about our head of state,” Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov said that after such a demarche by the US President, the Russian authorities will not be able to limit themselves to comments.
“Obviously, Biden’s words cannot go without a strong response. And the format of this answer does not imply a regular comment. This is not a declaration of war, but it looks a lot like it. I wonder how the White House views the formats of personal contacts after this?” Chesnakov wrote.
His colleague Maxim Zharov takes the opposite point of view.
“Biden is gaining points in his impending impeachment on grounds of incapacity. The Kremlin, in my opinion, should not react to this. Would the White House have reacted in early 1985 to the words of Secretary General Chernenko, who was dying, that US President Ronald Reagan was a “murderer”? I wouldn’t,” Zharov wrote.
Another political scientist, Marat Bashirov, points out that in the same interview, Biden said that he and Putin understand each other.
“The meaning of his general phrase can be understood in two ways: from the fact that they are equal and understand each other as “killers” (the only question is what or who) and to the inconsistency in reasoning, as if Biden was losing the thread of the answer due to some waves in his brain. Scandal? Yes, it's a scandal. But it’s not such a scandal,” Bashirov wrote.
Professor at the Higher School of Economics Dmitry Evstafiev suggests that Biden did not understand what he said at all.
“But those who brought him to this phrase understood perfectly well. They are testing our reaction to the fact that now any approach to personal contacts, to a “summit meeting” becomes impossible. Or associated for us with a direct loss of face. This is a signal - as long as Putin is in power, you will only be put under pressure. The Americans clearly told our elite: your fate is in your hands. So, let’s see who fidgets and starts pumping out various projects for “restructuring power” and “saving Russia”, so as not to lose “the achievements of the last 30 years,” wrote Evstafiev.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov draws attention to the fact that today
“Russia is being prepared to be placed among the rogue countries of the global world.
The “deep state” will push the elderly president to take active action. It is indicative how the US clientele from Kyiv, Warsaw, Vilnius and Riga have become more active - the auction of anti-Russian rhetoric has already begun. The stakes will rise because the “fight against Putin” will again become a very profitable business for the political elites and intelligentsia of Russia’s neighbors,” Uralov wrote.
