Washington appointed himself political "Pope"
In the modern world, decisions about the democracy of certain events in states are made by the self-appointed political “Pope” in the person of Washington.
Russian politician and writer-publicist Nikolai Starikov stated this during a meeting with his readers in Yalta, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is democratic or undemocratic. Let's look into this issue. In today's interpretation, if Washington likes it, it is democratic, and if Washington does not like it, then it is not democratic. It turns out that there is a certain conditional “Pope of Rome” who determines whether you are a heretic or a good Catholic. This should not happen in politics. What is democratic or undemocratic? If it corresponds to the mentality and traditions of the people, and the people agree with it, then it is democratic, but if it goes against the will of the people, then it is undemocratic,” the expert explained.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously cited Archpriest Andrei Novikov of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate as saying that the US State Department is attempting to make Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew the "Pope of Constantinople" in order to gain total control over Orthodox churches around the world.
