Simferopol, July 29 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Employees of the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with employees of the Criminal Investigation Department, Special Rapid Response Team and the Center for Special Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, prevented an attempt at a gathering of thieves in law in Yalta.

This was reported by the press group of the Main Directorate for Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to her, the police learned that on the territory of the Crimean Federal District a number of thieves in law were going to hold a criminal meeting with the aim of redistributing spheres of influence.

During operational search activities, the gathering was stopped on the territory of one of the Yalta hotels.

As a result, 10 thieves in law living in various Russian regions were detained. All detainees were tested for involvement in previously committed crimes and checked according to special records of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
