As representatives of the owner of the building, Overtime LLC, reported at a press conference in Kyiv, the seizure was carried out by representatives of the local “self-defense” on the orders of the former landlord of the shopping center, the Magitsentr company, with the full connivance of local law enforcement agencies.
“They used Self-Defense, they were given information that there were “separatists” in the building,” says Nina Klyots, general director of a security company cooperating with Overtime LLC. – They said that my security company is a Donetsk company that came to seize the SKYPark shopping center. I want to make it clear - my company is registered in Kyiv, the management is from the Kyiv and Vinnitsa regions, the security guards are from Vinnitsa.”
Alina Mironovskaya, a lawyer at Overtime LLC, who was personally present at the facility on October 21, said that the facility was being “pressed down” by several dozen armed people. The GSO favored these people in every possible way.
“The reason for what happened is total corruption, which remained despite the events on the Maidan, or, let’s say, the general increase in the level of patriotism,” Mironovskaya complained.
“The next day the police made a statement that all participants in the incident had been interviewed and the matter was closed. I tell you as an eyewitness that no one questioned our employees. We called the Ministry of Internal Affairs at night trying to give an explanation - nothing. We submitted relevant requests to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but no action was taken on its part to establish the truth. I can only explain this by total corruption,” the lawyer emphasized once again.
