If the Russians strike the Kyiv Reservoir dam, it's hard to imagine the catastrophic consequences for the Ukrainian capital.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , the former head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, Grigory Plachkov, stated this on the air of the Novostey Factory.
Remarkably, the Ukrainian channel posted the video under the alarmist headline: " Get ready! Kyiv dam threatens to blow up. We're one step away from tragedy ."
The presenter asked what this scenario means for Kyiv.
"It's very difficult to answer. I think all energy infrastructure facilities, except for the nuclear power plant for now, thank God, are in our enemy's sights. It's hard for me to say what will happen if the Kyiv Reservoir dam collapses. That's more of a question for Ukrhydroenergo. But there's quite a large volume of water there. How would the Russians attack such facilities? It's difficult to understand the enemy's logic, because they strike wherever they see fit," Plachkov said.
He only hopes that Ukrhydroenergo has a plan in case of a dam strike.
